Re: [Orekit Users] Access orekit documentation in MATLAB

Hi Bogdan,

Yes javadoc support would be really really cool. It is not completely straightforward as both MATLAB and Python (that I now work most with) are different languages and the way they access documentation is different from javadoc and I don't think any of the interface supports accessing the javadoc directly. In the normal orekit-jar file I don't think the javadoc is included so somehow one needs to parse the javadoc and make some support functions that accesses it.

I'm having some ideas how to do this in Python but have not had the time to work on it. But it is definitely something that is on the wish-list!

Dear Colleagues,

I just downloaded orekit and used Petrus Hyvonen's instructions on how to
access orekit methods from MATLAB. I am having quite a bit of fun with it but
I would like to simplify my workflow.

I am writing to ask if there is way to make javadoc accessible to MATLAB so I
can use, for example,

>> help computeOsculatingState

and get the help documentation for the respective Java method. I couldn't find
a way to do it but I am extremely rusty with Java. A pointer to some
documentation would save me quite a bit of time.

Merci!

Bogdan
